CHARITY DRAWING EVENT
The Charity Drawing submission form will open on May 1st, 2021
ABOUT
We are happy to announce that we are holding a charitable drawing to benefit the National Math and Science Initiative, a non-profit organization that works towards providing STEM learning materials to students and teachers, especially in places where students have been underserved, underrepresented or disadvantaged socially or economically.
Prize packs are donated by our wonderful participating brands!
We have two methods of entry for our charitable drawing: 1) you can provide proof of donation to the National Math and Science Initiative, or 2) share Bay Area Kei’s Instagram post. No monetary purchase is necessary to enter or win the drawing.
Regardless of the entry method you choose, all entries must be submitted no later than May 31st, 2021 at 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT.
Winners will be chosen via random drawing. We will be announcing our randomly selected winners during the Closing Ceremony on May 31st, so be sure to tune in!
Please note that the drawing is only open to United States residents. It is not open to residents of Alabama, Hawaii, Kansas, New Jersey, and Utah, in compliance with applicable state laws.

ENTRY METHODS
1. Make a Qualifying Donation of $10 or More to the National Math and Science Initiative

You can obtain one (1) entry to the drawing by making a donation of $10 or more to the National Math and Science Initiative. You can donate here. After you’ve donated, upload a screenshot of your donation the form below.
"The National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) was formed to address one of this nation's greatest economic and intellectual threats - the declining number of students who are prepared to take rigorous college courses in math and science and equipped for careers in those fields. To flourish in the 21st century, the United States must continue to generate intellectual capital that can drive the economic engine of our future prosperity. American students are falling behind in the essential subjects of math and science, putting our position in the global economy at risk. The mission of the National Math and Science Initiative is to help provide the ideas, inspiration, and resources to close the gap." You can learn more about them on their website.
While we encourage larger donations, you can only obtain one (1) entry by donating, regardless of the size of your donation. Additional or larger donations do not qualify as additional entries. In addition, direct donations to Bay Area Kei are not accepted, and will be immediately refunded. We ask that all participants donate money straight to NMS via their website, which can be found here.
2. Share Bay Area Kei’s Instagram Post
Even if you can’t donate, you can obtain one (1) entry by sharing Bay Area Kei’s social media image!
To enter by this method, you must:

Follow @bayareakei on Instagram.

Like the post, and tag a friend in the comments.

Repost the post to your main Instagram feed (not your stories!), and tag @bayareakei so we can see it!

Fill out the drawing entry form linked below with a URL to your completed Instagram post. Your profile must be publicly viewable!
You must leave the post up and follow @bayareakei until Ursa Major² ends on May 31st to be eligible for the drawing!
ENTRY SUBMISSIONS
Once you’ve completed any of the above items, send us to either a screencap of your donation or a direct link to your repost of the social media image in the entry form!

You will receive one entry for each completed action, for a maximum of two (2) entries. Please submit an entry form for each individual entry. If you have already submitted an entry for our Tea Party registration, you DO NOT need to re-submit via this form. Duplicate submissions will not be counted.
Entries not submitted via either this form or the Tea Party registration form will not be considered for the drawing.
No matter which method you choose, the deadline to enter is May 31st, 2021 at 5:00 PM PDT / 8:00 PM EDT. We’ll announce all winners at our closing ceremony on May 31st, 2021.
STEM Education & Careers
The Bay Area is home to many STEM jobs, but not everyone has a fair shot. We would like bring attention to underrepresented groups in STEM and support those who do wish to enter the field.

While 54.74% of students in California say science is their favorite school subject, only 20% plan to pursue it as a career after high school*. The barrier of entry is high for those who don’t receive adequate support.
