Bay  Area Kei is an organization that focuses on creating events for the J-fashion community! We host both in-person and online events.

Thank  you for your interest! All shop application forms are open-call and  posted on the website prior to each event. Please email us directly at bayareakei@gmail.com if you would like to join our brand mailing list and be alerted of  upcoming events to apply to. Brand selection for all events is a juried  process, so please have examples of past work available for us to view.  We reserve the right to reject applications at our discretion, for reasons such as, but not limited to: experience, quality, and relevance  to our events. If you were turned down previously, please feel free to  reapply to future events!

Not at all! Our team is based in California - mostly the Bay Area, hence our namesake. Our events are available to all members of the J-fashion community.

Please note that Bay Area Kei is an event organization and does not represent the local lolita fashion community. Our local lolita fashion community, SF EGL, can be found on Facebook and Discord. This community has an application and approval process, and only accepts EGL fashion wearers.

We  love to bring in new faces and ideas to our dedicated J-fashion  programing! We typically open applications for panelists around 1-2 months before an event, at which point you can apply via submission form. Please note that all panelist applications are juried on the basis of experience and how well the topic fits the event theme.
