LOLIBRARY

Bay Area Kei is pleased to welcome our 2026 Guest of Honor!

Lolibrary was founded in June of 2010 as a lolita fashion item database with the goal of answering questions like "What size is this JSK? What's the name of this print? What brand is this? Is the lace itchy?" and the dream of being a sanctuary for the history of lolita fashion.

Lolibrary believes that lolita fashion is a unique street fashion subculture which brings together a large number of people around the world. Documenting the collections released by lolita fashion designers allows for people to have a better understanding of the history of the fashion, providing a valuable resource to the community.

Today, the site is operated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit by volunteers and friends of the late founder, and lists over 111,000 items stretching back over 50 years.

MEET THE LOLIBRARIANS

Raine Dragon

Meghan Sanders (Raine Dragon) is a lolita fashion blogger and J-fashion history enthusiast. In late 2010, her passion for researching old and obscure lolita fashion items led her to start volunteering with Lolibrary, where she now serves as one of the site administrators. She also runs lolitahistory.com, which she launched in 2015 as a place to share information from her private collection of lolita fashion publications with other researchers.

Azuki Mikan

Azuki (azuki-mikan) has been fascinated with lolita fashion since 2001 and has been an avid documenter of things her entire life. She began her amateur fashion historian journey in March 2014, when she signed up for a Lolibrary account with the goal of using her Japanese language knowledge to help make historical information on lolita fashion more readily available in English. She has served as a senior member of the site team since 2016.
