Join Bay Area Kei for a community J-fashion swap meet in Downtown San Jose! For information about attendance and seller slots, see below.

This is an all-ages event open to the general public. There is no specific dress code (i.e., J-fashion attire is NOT required for entry.)
Four private dressing rooms with mirrors will be available for your shopping convenience.
General attendees are NOT permitted to sell or exchange their personal items without purchasing a swap meet table.

We will also provide a space where anyone attending may leave items they plan to give away for free. All attendees are welcome to take items left here. If you do leave anything at this table, please retrieve any of your remaining items before you leave for the day. Anything left at the end of the event will be collected by event staff and donated.

ARTIST/VENDOR TABLES
Are you a J-fashion artist or brand?
Thank you for your interest in participating as a vendor for J.ardsale NorCal 2026! J.ardsale is a one-day swap meet and market that will be open to the public on Sunday, July 12th, from 12 PM - 4 PM.
Please read our J.ardsale NorCal 2026 Event Proposal thoroughly before submitting your application.
Application opens: April 15
Application closes: April 30, 2026 at 9:00 PM PT
If you submit an application after this deadline, you will be added to the waitlist. We may reach out in case of any dropouts before the event.
SWAP MEET SELLERS
Cleaning your J-fashion closet?
Sell your secondhand J-fashion items at our swap meet on Sunday, July 12th by registering for a table! Please note that table space is very limited. After all available table slots are filled, you can still register for our waitlist to be notified of any cancellations or increased availability.
Swap meet tables will be available for purchase starting May 2nd, 12 PM Pacific Time.
Table Price: $30 + fees
Rack Rental: $10 + fees
TERMS OF SERVICE (FOR SELLERS)
Swap Meet sellers may start setting up at 11 AM on the day of the event (Sunday, July 12th).
A maximum of one small clothing rack (approx. 3 feet long) is allowed per table. We have a small number of garment racks available to rent for $10.00 as an add-on option. Otherwise, we are not providing garment racks OR hangers; please bring your own. Please be respectful of your fellow sellers' space!
No displays over 6 feet tall on the table or large free-standing displays on the ground. Please do not tape anything to the walls or table.
Each vending slot is for 5ft x 30" of table space and room for one garment rack. These tables will not have linens.
You may share this slot with one other person (maximum 2 people per slot). If you are planning to share a slot, please designate someone as the Primary Seller and submit ONE registration form. (There will be a space to put a Secondary Seller Name, if applicable, at check out.) The full table amount will be charged to the Primary Seller. You may add a Secondary Seller's name to your order at a later date through your Eventbrite order.
Only the Primary and Secondary Seller listed on the Eventbrite will be allowed to in to set up.
All items must either be secondhand or a limited amount of new with tag items (15 items or less) per the Occasional Sales rules outlined below. If you wish to be a vendor, please apply as such.
All items must be lolita fashion or J-fashion garments, accessories, or brand novelty items. Indie brand items are allowed. No cosplay/anime items, please!
All items must be recently cleaned/laundered and be in at least fair condition. If we find items that are unsanitary we may ask that you remove them.
Please note that sellers are responsible for their own garments. Bay Area Kei is not liable for any damage or theft to any sellers' items.
Each seller is responsible for their own terms of sales, and should be in accordance with state and local laws.
Reasonable Accommodations Policy: If you need accommodations for a disability, please let us know in the optional accommodation request section of the ticket form.
Examples of accommodations we can provide are:
Table placement that provides room for your mobility device(s)
Table placement close to restrooms or entrances to accommodate any needs you may have
Allowing you early set-up time to accommodate mobility restrictions
Allowing you an extra assistant to help set up your table
These examples are not an exhaustive list. If you need something different, please let us know and we're happy to discuss it with you! While we cannot guarantee providing any specific requested accommodation, we will try our best to work with you and provide an accommodation that suits your needs. Please note that BAK is not able to provide helpers or assistants.
Occasional Sellers rules:
This event is geared towards Occasional Sellers in Santa Clara County. A person who has cleared their garage of used items accumulated for their own use and who sells only those items would usually qualify as an occasional seller, provided they make sales no more than twice in a 12-month period. You are required to have a Sellers Permit if you are selling (even temporarily) new, collectible or handcrafted items, or used items you have purchased for the purpose of reselling to others. You are not required to hold a permit if you are only making occasional sales, or selling products that are not taxable when sold at retail or selling on behalf of a section 6015 retailer (e.g. Avon, Tupperware, etc.). COVID-19 POLICY
Masks are recommended in the shopping area.
Cancellations may be made up to 7 days before the event. Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won't be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is canceled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase. There are no transfers for this event.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Bay Area Kei is committed to the well-being and safety of our attendees. Our Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior of all attendees, including vendors, volunteers, and staff. Bay Area Kei reserves the right to remove or ban anyone not in compliance with our Code of Conduct. Furthermore, any persons banned from the San Francisco EGL Community are also banned from attending events hosted by Bay Area Kei. By attending our events you agree to abide by the rules below.
Attendees
Treat all attendees with kindness and respect.
Stalking, bullying, verbal or physical harassment, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, orientation, or age will not be tolerated. Bigotry, homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, and other forms of prejudice are not allowed.
Respect other attendees’ personal space. Do not touch anyone, including their clothing and personal belongings, without their express permission.
Please refrain from photographing or filming specific individuals without their explicit permission.
Do not criticize or police anyone’s clothing or appearance.
Venue
Treat the event facilities with respect. Do not block aisles or doorways, or impede the flow of traffic. Do not litter, deface any venue property, or tamper with equipment or furniture.
The use of illegal substances in the event space is strictly prohibited. Do not smoke or vape in the event space.
We take all complaints seriously. If anyone has made you feel uncomfortable, please alert the closest available staff member immediately. If you would like to make a report after the event, please email us at bayareakei@gmail.com.
Any attendees or sellers found to be violating these rules (including but not limited to: exploiting loopholes, repeatedly ignoring staff, being disruptive, harassing sellers or buyers, etc) may be asked to leave and may possibly be banned from future Bay Area Kei events.
PHOTO & VIDEO POLICY
Photography and filming by attendees is generally permissible in the venue. We encourage all attendees to ask for consent before taking photos or filming other individuals. In addition, Bay Area Kei staff will be engaged in event photography and filming. Attendees should understand that by attending this event, they may appear in promotional material on our social media and website. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
