DIY-LICIOUS CONTEST & SHOWCASE

Join us for our tastiest DIY showcase and contest yet! To go with our jelly-themed event, we are asking attendees to make gelatinous dishes or jelly-themed creative works to show off.  While jiggly, edible treats will be the main focus, you can interpret this theme any way you want- through fake foods, dioramas, wearables, or any other medium! Our jelly theme is also open to your artistic interpretation: you can take inspiration from gelatin desserts, jams, gummy candies, and even jellyfish!

We are only allowing one entry per person! Due to time limitations, only TWENTY (20) entries will be accepted.

We will be hosting a panel reviewing all your submissions live on Twitch during the Show-and-Jell panel on Saturday, July 24th, 7:30 PM PDT. 

 

CONTEST

You can opt-in to entering the DIY contest to win a prize supplied by members of Bay Area Kei. One winner will be determined via voting conducted after the live panel!

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday, July 22, 11:59 PM PT (or when 20 entries have been submitted)

GUIDELINES

• Your entry can be any creative DIY (illustrations, foods, crafts, etc.) as long as it:

  1. is made by you (collage/mashup art is welcome!)

  2. is tied to the Jelly July theme in some way

• You will be asked to explain what parts of your DIY you created.

• Both video and photo entries will be accepted. 

• For photo entries: You may submit multiple photos to show your DIY’s details.

• For video entries: All entries must be ten seconds or shorter in length. You may not use any copyrighted music or sounds in your submission, in accordance with Twitch policies.

• Jelly July is an all-ages event, so please keep your creations rated PG-13.

Submissions will be screened under the above criteria. If your submission does not comply with the guidelines, it will not be showcased in the panel and will not be eligible to win a prize.

By submitting your media via the entry form, you acknowledge and understand that you are granting Bay Area Kei a limited license to (1) edit your images and repost them to the Bay Area Kei social media channels, including (though not limited to) Facebook and Instagram; and (2) showcase your entry during the Jelly July event, which will be aired on our YouTube and Twitch channels.
