Can make it a Cream Shake by adding 2oz cream before shaking, then using soda water instead of the milk.
CELESTIAL (SUNDAE TOPPING)
Two pounds English walnuts, 2 pounds pecans chopped together with half pound of powdered sugar; add sufficient simple syrup and fruit syrup to flavor.
(Soda Fountain, 1915, 164)
Much smaller serving for modern use
½ cup walnuts
½ cup pecans
2oz Simple Syrup
2oz Fruit Syrup of choice (testing w/ Blueberry, but also works really well w/ Chocolate, Butterscotch, or Caramel, etc.)
COMET
Peel one banana, slice in two lengthwise and lay the slices parallel on a plate; place a ball of vanilla ice cream on one end of the slices; place over the banana crushed fresh strawberries and over all pour a thick marshmallow cream, then put a Maraschino cherry on a toothpick on the ice cream. The ball of ice cream represents the head of the comet, while the two slices of banana represent the tail. This dish should bring 15 cents. (C. Ray Wait.)
