PUMPKIN PATCH DIY CONTEST & SHOWCASE

Welcome back to the pumpkin patch! We're so excited to see your pumpkin and pumpkin-adjacent DIY creations! This year, you will have all of the month of October to submit your DIY Showcase entries, and we will review your creations on November 6th live on Twitch.  

 

We encourage you to decorate within a J-fashion aesthetic, but it's not required, so let your creative (pumpkin) juices flow!

CRAFT 'N CHAT

We are hosting a Pumpkin DIY Craft 'n Chat on Friday, November 4th, at 9:30 PM PT on the Bay Area Kei Twitch, if you'd like to join in and make your own pumpkins at the same time! Check the Gramarye: Afterlife panel page for more details.

 

CONTEST

You can additionally opt-in to entering the contest portion of this event to win a prize pack supplied by members of Bay Area Kei. Contest winners will be chosen by a panel of highly experienced pumpkin judges. Winners will be announced on social media and contacted via email.

GUIDELINES

• You can use either a real pumpkin or a fake pumpkin. However, it cannot be pre-decorated (i.e., all decorations must have been applied by you).​

• Pumpkin or squash-themed crafts will also be accepted!

• You will be asked to explain how you created your DIY entry.

• Both video and photo entries will be accepted. 

• For photo entries: You may submit multiple photos to show the details of your DIY entry.

• For video entries: All entries must be ten seconds or shorter in length. You may not use any copyrighted music or sounds in your submission, in accordance with Twitch policies.

• This is an all-ages event, so please keep your creations rated PG-13.

• You may submit as many entries as you like to be presented during the panel. However, only one of your entries can be your designated contest entry.

• Note: If you are also participating in our Instagramarye Challenge, any pictures you take for Instagramarye can also be submitted to the DIY showcase/contest.

Submissions will be screened under the above criteria. If your submission does not comply with the guidelines, it will not be showcased in the panel and will not be eligible to win a prize. Additionally, Bay Area Kei reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.

By submitting your media via the entry form, you acknowledge and understand that you are granting Bay Area Kei a limited license to (1) edit your images and repost them to the Bay Area Kei social media channels, including (though not limited to) Facebook and Instagram; and (2) showcase your entry on our YouTube and Twitch channels.
