Learn how to make a few hundred year old Soda Fountain drinks... all the color of BLOOD! Muhahahahaaaaa.... *ahem* (sorry). Jason with Blackbird Finery will demonstrate how to make several themed sodas just in time for Halloween.

Red Coat Gore (Aka Strawberry A La Washington)

  • Shaved ice ........ 1/3 glass

  • Strawberry juice ... 1 dash

  • Strawberry syrup ... 2 ounces

  • Crushed strawberries 2 teaspoonfuls

Fill with carbonated water. Stir with spoon and add four halves of strawberries. Serve

with spoon and straws. Two ounces of sweet cream added to this formula might

enhance its delectability. Add cream to syrup, then add juice and fruit.

Blood Is The (Spice Of Life)

  • Red currant syrup... 3 oz

  • Lemon syrup ......... 1 oz

  • Raspberry syrup ...... 1 oz

Mix well and serve in 8-ounce glasses with cracked ice.

This formula provides for an excellent beverage to be featured as the dispenser's own

"Thirst Quencher."


  • Shaved ice,

  • Raspberry syrup 2 oz

  • white of one egg,

  • Sweet cream 10z

Shake well and fill the tumbler with vichy water. Price-10 ounces, 10 cents

Toil & Trouble (aka Cherry Fizz)

  • Cherry syrup ........ 1⁄2 ounces

  • Lemon juice .............. 1⁄4 oz

  • Sodium Bicarbonate 1⁄4 tsp

Squeeze juice of 1/2 lemon in cherry syrup in mixing glass half full of carbonated

water. Strain into 12-ounce glass, add little sodium bicarbonate from end of spoon and fill glass with fine stream. Price-10 ounces, 10 cents.
