Fairies' Wish Syrup

  •  Cream . . . . . . . . . .  1 pint 

  • Simple Syrup . . . .  . .  2 pints 

  • Extract of vanilla . . . . 2 fl. drams (7.4 mL)

  • Strawberry extract . . . . 1 fl. dram  (3.7 mL)


Serve by drawing 2 ounces in a 12 ounce glass, fill the latter about one-half with the coarse stream of carbonated water, completing the operation with the fine stream.

Don't Care Syrup

  • Blackberry juice   1 quart bottle ; (Drink, 0.5oz)

  • grape juice   1 quart bottle ; (Drink, 0.5oz)

  • lemon syrup   1 pint ; (Drink, 0.25oz)

  • granulated sugar   4 1/2 pounds (LEAVE OUT!)


Dissolve the sugar in the fruit juices at the boiling point, strain, and when cool add the lemon syrup .
(Modern version, just add the liquids in a large enough container... No need for the Sugar)
Especially good for  use in phosphates
— 8 ounces , 5 cents


Dorian Cream

  • Orange syrup . . . . . . . . 3/4 ounce

  • Maple syrup . . . . . ... . 3/4 ounce

  • Plain cream . . . . . . .... 1 ounce

  • Shaved ice ........... 1/3 glassful


Place in a suitable glass, fill with carbonated water,
sprinkle powdered nutmeg on top and serve with straws and crackers.
Makes a delicious drink. Charge 10 cents
for a 12-ounce glass.


WIGGLE-WAGGLE

  • chocolate syrup 1.5oz

  • vanilla ice cream 1 scoop (approx 1/3 cup)

  • Nuts 

  • Whipped Cream

Into a mixing glass put 11/2 ounces of chocolate syrup and a No. 12 disherful of vanilla ice cream. Mix thoroughly together with a bar spoon and “fluff” up with  carbonated water, fine stream; pour the
mixture into an 8-ounce stem glass until the contents reach within half an inch of the top. Then put in a layer of nuts and top off with whipped cream.
